Our History: A Legacy of Leadership and Learning

AZBBA was established in 1983 by Arizona brokers who saw the need for higher standards, better communication, and stronger cooperation in the brokerage industry.

At the time, there was little formal training for those managing an Arizona business for sale. AZBBA changed that by creating a professional network where brokers could exchange knowledge, share best practices, and represent clients with integrity.

In 2006, AZBBA took a major step forward by launching the School of Real Estate & Business Brokerage, officially recognized by the Arizona Department of Real Estate. This milestone transformed the association from a networking group into an educational institution devoted to structured training and professional development.

Four decades later, AZBBA remains the driving force behind professional business brokerage in Arizona. AZBBA is training the professionals who represent sellers, buyers, and every Arizona business for sale and develops the standards and ethics for the Arizona market.
